Obedience

Obedience: In Genesis 11-12 we all can easily read of Abram's obedience to God. Let's read, Genesis 12:4 "So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him." Reading above seems so simple and almost elementary! But, how many of us have listened to God lately and did what He wanted us to do?? A well known hymn goes this way, "Trust and obey for there is no other way." The best way to please God is to obey Him!
Hebrews 5:8 reads, "though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered." Jesus Christ completely obeyed God by going to the Cross and suffering for all people and their sins, including you and I! Jesus suffered and died for all of us! Again, Jesus Christ lived in complete obedience to His Father, God! So much that He completely obeyed God when He went to the Cross for all!
